Building a New Museum

Following the fire which burnt down our reconstructed Crannog on 11th June 2021, The Scottish Crannog Centre started the process of building a new museum.

The Planning and Funding was passed and found, then on the ***** the building of the museum started.

Planning the Buildings

The buildings for the new Iron Age Village where planned alongisde the architects at LDN, the structural engineers at Narro associates, traditional craftspeople and carpenters, as well as the team here at The Scottish Crannog Centre.

The new Cafe and Museum took shape to be something that fitted within the landscape as well as being sustainable and suitable for the task ahead.
