We submitted our application to Museums and Galleries Scotland in May 2017. We should receive the result by the end of this year, following an inspection in September. Wish us luck, and stay tuned for more news later.
Gaining Museum status would be an amazing achievement for us at the Centre. We have been working on the forms and requirements and will continue throughout the summer to get everything ready for the deadline.
We are passionate about spreading the word about Scotland’s rich and exciting prehistory and what better way to showcase it than in a fully accredited museum!
