February Poem #1

Throughout February we asked our visitors to write us two rhyming lines which would then be added to others and turned into a poem.

And, this is the result – words from 3 separate and completely independent contributors!

Fire and smoke rise high, on a water close to piles
Built of wood and hay, so they say
Grassy hills, snowy steeps but down below in the loch’s deeps lies the Crannog
Since long ago submersed in water, burning embers beneath piles and piles of sticks and leaves
Revealing the mystery of her and his story

With thanks to Jai aged 10, Maggie C aged 11 and Anon!
