The Centre has carried out many surveys in Loch Tay, making many exciting discoveries from a prehistoric drowned forest including a beaver lodge, to crannogs and a Bronze Age dugout canoe. A number of more modern vessels have been discovered, too, and there will be much more still to find. As Loch Tay is a vast body of water to search visually with divers, we initiated an experimental survey project using side-scan sonar.
