10.00 - 18.00
As part of the Celts are Coming festival, Hamish Lamley of Pictavia Leather returns to the Scottish Crannog Centre with a crannog bag making workshop.
Spend the day sitting by the crannog making your very own leather crannog bag while discussing Scotland's history and crafts.
Pictavia Leather's crannog bags are an interpretation of the bag found at Loch Glashan crannog on the west coast of Scotland. The bag and its construction have been researched by Hamish and the replica you will be making will, therefore, follow the original as closely as possible, honouring Scotland's ancient craft heritage.
This course is for anyone who wants to have a piece of history to carry with them and learn more about Scotland's history and crafts.
All materials are included in the cost of the course and participants can choose which size bag they want to make.
No experience necessary.
Course times: 10.00 until 18.00
Cost: £100 per person
Maximum participants: 6 people
Please bring your own packed lunch and refreshments.
