Wow-factor activities include: Sword-making, Iron forging, Hide-tanning, Cooking and many other crafts plus paddling dugout canoes, archery, spear-throwing and more.
There will also be a market place where you can purchase many of the one-off items made by the artisan workers on site.
Don't miss this amazing day out, full something for everyone.
The Crannog Roundhouse was originally constructed as an archaeological experiment following discoveries underwater at Oakbank Crannog in Fearnan. Once constructed it was decided to open the Crannog up to the public so everyone could see how our ancestors lived some 2,500 years ago. Since then the Crannog has grown into an internationally renowned focal point for those wishing to discover more about Scotland's rich and exciting prehistory: 'Entertaining', 'Enlightening' and 'Educational' are words often used by visitors to describe the Scottish Crannog Centre and its engaging activities.
Please note this event has also been advertised in some publications as 'Iron Age Artisan Village: Celts, Crafts and Crannogs.
