Bronze Sword Workshop at the Centre

This is a two-day workshop led by Neil Burridge exploring the manufacture of bronze swords in the late Bronze Age. The group will work together to cast a sword using charcoal and Bronze Age methods. Then each participant will work on their own Ewart Park sword, cleaning, forging and looking at different ways handles were fitted.

Greenwood and Timber Framing Course in February

Mike Ellis of Helmsdale Charcoal and Coppice will lead a Greenwood and Timber Framing Course at The Scottish Crannog Centre in February. The aim of the course is to build an Iron Age style shelter for use on site.
